Yesterday my mother, my sister, and me went into the city to visit Hunter College. After the tour we decide that the college was disgusting so we left, rather early and we took a cab back to tie square and bought tickets for 13.
This was such a cute musical and was middle school. It was about a boy named Evan who is preparing to have is bar mitvzah and then abruptly moves form the city to a small town in Indiana. He now is trying to make friends with all the right people so he can still have his killer party, which means making nice with the most popular guy at school Brett. Evan goes through a roller coaster ride of losing and gaining friends and in the end he finds out who his tue friends are.
My favorite part of the show is when Brett is informing his two sidekicks Eddie and Malcolm about “The Tongue” (which is really code for making out) and how he is going to use The Tongue on Kendra (a good girl who he likes).
Before the show had started I was looking through the playbill and I realized I knew one of the understudies Liana Ortiz. We had both done The American Coed Pageant together for sometime. In 2002 we went down to Nationals together along with the queen at the time Jasmine.
Did I mention how incredibly talented this kids were as well? The whole time I just kept thinking holy shit they are sooo gooooddd. The girl who played Lucy had an incredibly voice.
Here are some of my favorite pictures of the cast:

Do you reconize the blonde boy? He was in the ICarly episode “Idream of Dance”.
Serendipity- fortunate coincidence, unsought discovery- Noun
I choose this word cause I have trouble memorizing it for my English Midterm

Once again another class trip, we were going to Atlantic City for a very huge college fair. It felt kind of useless to be being that I have been visiting a majority of the college I am interested in but I did run intot a performing art school in chicago, and I do have an interest to be in Chicago if not near NYC. But beign there for two hours was a bit much. By the end of it some colleges had left and a few guys had set themselves up in a booth and were asking girls to apply to their college. A few kids from my school did that as well, there was the beautiful people college and the awkward and ugly college. I signed up for awkward and ugly.
lol.
And some kid challenged the coolness of my high top reeboks. He was comparing them to his dirty faded green shoes. My still have that awesome new look to them, and he gave the excuse for his diryty shoes saying, “he lives a hard life.” I was about to mention SIP but I opted not to.

Do excuse how I haven’t been on in forever.
So the other day the junior and seniors actors at my school went to Two River Theater in Red Bank, New Jersey to see the production of Heart Break House by George Bernard Shaw and directed by Aaron Posner. I am in love with Posner and two river productions, they are always fantastic.
First the characters in the show were so diverse and expressive. My favorite characters were Captain Shotover, who was this crazy old man and his voice had this awesome scruffness to it. Then Madagan who was a really old man trying to marry Ellie and he had this big breakdown at one point where he had a lot of characteristics like the cowardly lion from The Wizard of Oz.
The set was also breath taking as well. There was this huge think of junk, similar to the tower of junk on the stage for Rent, except this one is made out of white dressors, tables, and desks. They are frequently used for characters to climb on and at on point Mr.Hushabye begins to strip ontop of their with Madagan. Which was a very funny scene although they did not strip very far. But the prettiest part of the scenery was in the begining of the third act when the stars were set up and looking at them made you feel as though you were in outerspace.
If you are in Red Bank New Jersey within the next few weeks, I am not sure how long it is running for, go and see this show. You will loveeeee it.
